ANNOUNCEMENT

I International Symposium on Labor, Social Security and Sustainable

Development Theme: "For Decent Work and Sustainable Social Development"

June 24 to 25, 2025

The 2030 Agenda places decent work as an aspiration to advance social justice. Sustainable Development Goal 8 "Decent Work and Economic Growth" has identified the need to create more than 600 million new jobs by 2030 in response to demographic dynamics and the growth rate of the world's working-age population. The relationship between employment and economic growth generates a virtuous circle and is considered a driving force for the development of both national economies and individuals.

Aware of our responsibility in that future for all, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security invites you to participate in the I International Symposium on Labor, Social Security and Sustainable Development, which will be held at the Havana Convention Palace, on June 24 and 25, 2025, under the theme: "For Decent Work and Sustainable Social Development".

The symposium will be held in person, as a space to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences based on the use of science and innovation in the search for answers to new social and labor realities. Researchers, academics, university students, experts, public officials, employers, representatives of international bodies, organizations and organizations, trade unions, professional associations and other actors interested in contributing with their proposals to the design and implementation of social policies for sustainable and inclusive development will be able to participate in its development.
